The Weight Roller Coaster

For the past 3 years I was in constant struggle with my weight, I’ve seen it go up and down in a matter of weeks, each time I see it go up my confidence goes down and opposite is true..

The Weight Scale was my one and only measure of progress that I’ve used and came to trust, I’d weight myself at various times throughout the day and end up depressed if I went up 1 kg in the same day..

This mistake is still being made by many people, you’d see them doing all the right things: Eating right and at the right times, working out and drinking plenty of water but one step on that device can shatter all the confidence they accumulated from their previous progress. If you are one of those people, please don’t do that to yourself anymore! I know how it feels and now I know how silly it was. Your ideal body composition is beyond the basic scales that give you just the overall weight even if you think that you are fat.

To truly measure your progress use various methods, a weight scale is but one way to monitor your progress, consider the following methods to get a better picture:

  • Skin-fold Calipers
  • Tape measurements
  • Body Composition Scales
  • Week to week picture comparison

Using the above methods will not only give you a better indicator onĀ  where you’re heading but also help you keep track of the small changes that takes place over time.

Yesterday was good; 50 mins of increasing intensity cardio workout was completed and 5 meals were consumed.

Internet trouble..

I’ll make this quick as the Internet is unreliable tonight!

Yesterday’s workout was very good, a satisfying full body workout along with 5 meals completed a good day.

When there is no time..

Be it work or at home, these couple of days have been busy! I wanted to make today’s post longer but alas, I have to cut it short again and jump to yesterday’s progress:

Meals timings were messed up (sadly) and only 3 meals were consumed, also a light biceps, triceps, back abs and chest workout was done. Not the best day!
